Inuyasha if nothing else had very iconic, enjoyable ED's, I still remember most of them fondly.Īlso the anime had fantastic music by Kaoru Wada but maybe we should take this to another thread :pĮdited 18th Apr '17 8:46:28 PM by Draghinazzo Whatever problems YYH had towards the end it will always hold a special place in my heart. I just think it's a real tragedy what happened to him, in terms of writing in shounen manga the only other author I respect as much as him is Hiromu Arakawa. And the last chapters from Hx H from when his wife started helping him and he got an assistant have pretty decent/above average artwork as far as Jump goes. Like, some ◊ of ◊ the ◊ panels i've seen from the YYH manga are extremely strong in terms of the overall idea/mood/visual design, in a way that I don't often see. It's really more that he's horrendously inconsistent because of his stubbornness and health issues. Togashi has a bad reputation for turning in unacceptably sloppy work in serialization, and honestly after he turned in what was basically a "name" (rough draft) when the Chimera Ant arc was running I don't think that's entirely undeserved.īut I think people go too far when they say he is just a bad artist period. Tbh YGO more or less IS a battle manga, just not one where the battles are physical so you could count it.Īnd yeah, RK's last arc in the manga was sort of a mess (the tomoe flashbacks were great though) and the filler arcs after Kyoto in the anime are usually considered pretty underwhelming. We were talking about battle shounen specifically which narrows the playing field.
